Scissor Sisters – She’s My Man

Scissor Sisters continue to follow us with another release off their second album “Tah Dah.” “She’s My Man” straight up sounds exactly like it could have been recorded by Elton John in the 70s. But, you know what this is the one song on “Tah Dah” that after awhile is still fun.

DJ Shadow – This Time

For those who have the album they already know, this is not the Shadow we are used to. “Enuff” showed how Shadow could do pop and now “This Time” shows a little old school groove. The tune is jazzy, bluesy, funky and with a delicious sexy beat. It is not a track that is going to set the clubs ablaze. It is just simply a nice track that wont offend anyone.

Jane’s Addiction – Up From The Catacombs: The Best Of Jane’s Addiction

Jane’s Addiction impact on music was huge. They were just starting out in the times when the hair was still huge and the ballads were as big as ever. Sure, they reformed and came back and left again and so for. But their early records were huge influential and timeless. This set collects 16 of the bands finest cuts including the ones we all know like “Been Caught Stealing” and “Jane Says.” But even beyond music the bands impact was great on the community. Lollapalooza that Perry Farrell organized that ran from 91-97 was huge moments for our generations. This an interesting time for the band to be putting out a best of, grab it for that younger person in your life and show them the way.
