Selfish Cunt – Avocado

I must admit I wasn’t expecting to like this band at all, but having heard this track it was impossible not to feel a reaction. Hearing it for the first time was a bit like scratching a wound which is trying to heal. Driving guitars and an abrasive dangerous beat dominates here. Some might say this song is just noise mongering, but I liked it.

Heavily punk-influenced, tight and dark, this London four piece band is undoubtedly in-your-face with their delivery. This ditty is about the effect of pollution on the environment-quite witty lyrics here

“That ain’t what it seems…this is NOT an avocado”. There’s a message in this song and its not as shallow as it appears on first listen.

Don’t be put off by the offensive name. This band have definitely passed the
acid test.
