Black Kids – Hurricane Jane

Black Kids’ debut single “I’m Not Gonna Teach Your Boyfriend How To Dance With You” was a breakthrough hit from the young group from Florida. It was going to be a tough feet to follow up a song like that but “Hurricane Jane” just leaves something out. The track starts off really slow and kind of ventures into this weird old style R&B track. The track just cost along at this same substances and rhythm and it just gets a little boring overall. The only cool part of the track is when the part “It’s Friday night and I ain’t got nobody, so what’s the use of pulling a shape” as things pick up for a few moments there. The lackadaisical “Hurricane Jane” will not slow this band down much and their debut album will still be highly anticipated this summer.
