Sneaky Soundsystem – UFO

Australia’s Sneaky Soundsystem release the follow-up to this summers “Pictures” with “UFO.” The track has already become a top ten hit in Australia. The thing that struck me most about “UFO” is the fact that it feels very natural as sometimes a well made dance track can have the feel of manufactured on it. Miss Connie adds a very confident and sultry vocal that hits on all the marks that make a successful dance track. The bands Wikipedia page mentions that the track borrows heavily from Duran Duran’s “Girls On Film” track. There was some slight noticeable similarities but it was not noticeable until I went back and gave “Girls On Film” a heavy listen. Sneaky Soundsystem have a great look and a vibrant sound. I am curious on how the rest of their work turns out.
