symmetry 150x150 Keane Perfect SymmetryKeane have been away from the music scene for a little while (two years),now returning with an album which sounds like a mixture of Coldplay(witness the piano/percussion intro on A Bad Dream Live) and The Killers.

The whole album is refreshing, and Tom Chaplin’s voice sounds a deal better for the break and can still sound thrilling and romantic. This album was self-produced,with help from Kanye West’s and Madonna’s producers respectively. The result is a perfectly symmetrical (yes, really!) sound, which is constant throughout the whole record.

Eleven tracks comprise an album which shows this three-piece band to have achieved perfect harmony, and achieved a potential Top 10-selling hit.

Recommended.

If Keane’s album is anything other than complete cock I’ll eat my own shoes. Not that I’ll listen to it so I guess I’ll never know.

“this is the last time” was on the previous album… a bit of homework maybe?
