Keane – Perfect Symmetry

Keane have been away from the music scene for a little while (two years),now returning with an album which sounds like a mixture of Coldplay(witness the piano/percussion intro on A Bad Dream Live) and The Killers.
The whole album is refreshing, and Tom Chaplin’s voice sounds a deal better for the break and can still sound thrilling and romantic. This album was self-produced,with help from Kanye West’s and Madonna’s producers respectively. The result is a perfectly symmetrical (yes, really!) sound, which is constant throughout the whole record.
Recommended.

If Keane’s album is anything other than complete cock I’ll eat my own shoes. Not that I’ll listen to it so I guess I’ll never know.

“this is the last time” was on the previous album… a bit of homework maybe?
