The Tiny – Too Heavy A Burden

The Tiny for those of you not familiar with the group are a band out of Sweden who have already released two albums to some critical acclaim. “Too Heavy A Burden” was released this year on their website as a download. The track is a fascinating combination of two of my favorite things. The music sounds like something out of the Sigur Ros play book. The track moves a very gentle and fragile pace never really unleashing any true fury. The song vocally sounds like a shy a combination of Bjork and Lykke Li. “Too Heavy A Burden” is a moving piece of music that is full of a lot of emotional highs and very powerful little moments. I did find myself waiting for some sort of explosion of sound at the end but I never got it.
