The Wombats – My Circuitboad City

Do The Wombats ever slow down? Fresh off their Christmas single the band return with some brand new material for the new year. I have always been hot and cold with The Wombats. They have seem to have never gone away for awhile. They just keep on releasing tunes which are good and bad depending on which way you are looking at it. The thing that I liked about this track that it did not have the quirkiness of Let’s Dance to Joy Division and Moving to New York. Those were still fun tracks at the time but they lacked a little substance and longevity. “My Circuitboard City” is fun and quirky that is surprisingly one of the bands finer moments. It will be interesting to see if a second album would hold up as well as this track.
