Basement Jaxx – Raindrops

It has been nearly three years since new material has surfaced from the Jaxx. “Raindrops” is the first single lifted from the band’s fifth album due out this summer. (This summer will also mark the 10th anniversary of their classic record Remedy.)
“Raindrops” is exactly what we need this summer; it is a track that is unabashed and pulls no punches. At the heart of the track is the disco core that has made us all go nuts over their tunes for years. It also feels a little like “Romeo” at times, but never more than just paying homage. As summertime approaches, this song just feels right, and will be something we play for many months.
