Honey Claws – Healer EP

Honey Claws is the eclectic collaboration of three experienced House DJs/producers and vocalist Jon von Letscher. The combination adds up to a very interesting output. Their new four song EP is called Healer, and it’s pretty good.
The leadoff track is Lighting Killeye. Its an upbeat pop tune with dance beats and various noises, textures, and melodies. The next two tracks are more dub-oriented, which I normally don’t enjoy, but the layering of the songs and distinct vocals stand out among a usually tedious genre. The final song, Orange Kitty Stamp, is an eerie minimalist rap song. It’s very cool.
All in all, it’s a short (clocks in at 13:35) but stong release. I genuinely enjoy it.
