Kasabian – Fire
Oh Kasabian, we have such a love/hate relationship. Will we ever get it right? After, the surprisingly enjoyable and download-able single “Vlad the Impaler” we get the lead single from the bands upcoming third album. “Fire,” on the first few listens, did very little to get me excited at all. Now, I am basing this on the YouTube video which, I know, is a terrible way to a gauge a song so I am trying to give it the benefit of the doubt. For me, those slow parts in the first 2 minutes really take a lot away from the song. At about 2:55 it gets all weird and trippy and that is when the song really gets going. I am just hoping that West Ryder Pauper Lunatic Asylum will allow me to forget that mess that was Empire.
