Calvin Harris – Ready For The Weekend

Outside of Calvin’s work on the wonderful “Dance Wiv Me” his music has never really caught fire with me. I think the problem is his vocals. It is a little too much for me for a few minutes straight. On “Ready For The Weekend” Calvin helps me out with that problem. When the hook hits, you get this powerful soul vocal thanks to Mary Pearce that completely won me over. After, a few repeat listens his bits in the song started to become a little more tolerable. I do enjoy when he does vocals in the style of “Dance Wiv Me” or “Acceptable In the 80s.” I am sure this is a track that is already burning up the clubs
