I’m not too familiar with Puscifer, Maynard James Keenen’s (Tool/A Perfect Circle) solo project. But for something that came from Mr Show, I really expected this to be a little funnier.
Its kind of what you expect from a six-song download-only EP. It feels a little bit thrown together. There are three new songs (one of which features Milla Jovovich on vocals), two live songs, and a remix. Apart from that, it’s decent.
It’s very moody and vocally driven. There are two live tracks in the middle that I like the sound a little better because of the usage of real instruments. My biggest complaint is the songs don’t really develop musically.
