Manorexia-The Mesopelagic Waters
Any JG Thirlwell fans living in New York can count themselves among the lucky ones who have had many (relatively) chances to see him perform his Manorexia project live with a chamber arrangement. For those of you that live in other areas of the world, you can now hear these versions of the compositions on The Mesopelagic Waters.
Manrexia’s long-awaited third studio album consists of Thirlwell with a six-piece chamber orchestra versions of songs from the previous two. Honestly, I think that this is Manorexia’s strongest album. The use of real instruments sounds fantastic. The songs are also a bit more concise, where the other albums might get a little too ambient at points. This is really great. Check it out.
