Review: We Are Enfant Terrible – Filthy Love

groupe 150x150 Review: We Are Enfant Terrible Filthy LoveExplorative lounge/indie/dance is topped off with sprinklings of hushed pop, as the rhythm bounds and the vocals stammer, in order to create a funky and thoughtful vibe for the sauntering single, ‘Filthy Love’. Once you come to terms with the fact that the vocals are not a lounge parody of Wagner, you can appreciate the depth, mood building and wispily provocative touch of this Clo Flouret led French trio.

Rat-a-tat percussion and flashes of digital ambience gives this snippet that’s plucked the debut album, ’Explicit Pictures’ some variety and spice. This track is a bit of a coming together of Nouvelle Vague, Salt N’ Pepa and Xpress2, providing We Are Enfant terrible with a mystical and thoughtful edge that will keep the interest metre ticking over at least into the next album.
