exlovers – Fast Song
exlovers are set to release their new EP on 8th September 2009, through Chess Club. The 5-track EP was produced by Stephen Street (The Smiths / Blur / Kaiser Chiefs), who approached the band after seeing them supporting Peter Doherty at Shepherds Bush Empire. We are very pleased to be able to offer up a brand new track from the band “Fast Song” for download.
exlovers to record new EP with Stephen Street
exlovers will be heading into the studio with legendary producer Stephen Street to record a 4-track EP to be released later this year. Work on the EP will commence at the end of exlovers’ tour with Golden Silvers.

exlovers – Photobooth/Weightless
The bands debut single only a few months old they return with a brand new double a-side set. The band continue the formula that got them to be darlings in m eyes last year. The jangly/twee guitars with the dueling soft boy/girl vocals melt my heart every time out. Jimmy Robertson is on the production duties as well as on their first single. So, it seems the band have found their partner in this. “Photobooth” of the two track is the more straight up power pop track. “Weightless” does give you a little variation as it is not so bright and bubbly. For being together only about a year, exlovers are proving out to one of the more promising and exciting acts of this young year.
