Richard Hawley – Valentine
“Valentine” is the third single off “Lady’s Bridge” and it may just be one of his most beautiful songs to date. Most of his songs follow the very grandiose formula, they always sound so huge an epic even larger than life at times. Richard seems to be freshly broken hearted here with his tender lyrics.. “hold me tight tonight sleep will tend me save me from lonely hours there’s so many and i won’t get any sleep tonight” His words ride along a sweeping string section and some crashing drums. The simplistic natural of the lyrics combine with such a lavish song musically really tug at your heart strings. “Valentine” is a n amazing way to round out the “Lady’s Bridge” campaign. Also, a great song for this upcoming cold and lonely winter nights, well for me at least.
