School of Seven Bells release new single and tour with BMSR
Brooklyn trio School of Seven Bells is coming off successful UK tours with Bat for Lashes and White Lies and a nomination for MOJO Breakthrough Act 2009. Now, “My Cabal,” the third single from their Ghostly International debut Alpinisms, is here, released on May 19th, 2009.
The “My Cabal” single also includes the melancholy instrumental “My Camarilla,” a halftime remix of Alpinisms’ “Chain” by UK ambient legends Seefeel, and a blown-out re-imagining of “Face to Face on High Places” by Jesu’s Justin Broadrick.
The band is currently on tour with Black Moth Super Rainbow. The upcoming dates:

Black Moth Super Rainbow and School of Seven Bells co-headline this tour. The tour takes place mainly in the mid-west and west and runs from late May to early June. If you live in any of these cities this will surely be an amazing double bill.

Toby Holbrooks video for the Brooklyn trios Half Asleep follows suit, depicting real-life twin vocalists Alejandra and Claudia Deheza as earthbound beauties, while complicating their image through sped-up film, gauzy overlays, and brightly colored, weather-like disturbances.
Cathedral Classics Volume One out on April 20
Sonic Cathedral Recordings announce the release of ‘Cathedral Classics Volume One’, a compilation album featuring the first 11 singles released on our increasingly influential label between 2006 and 2008.
Previously only available on a series of limited-edition seven-inches, the 17 tracks on the CD include debut releases from School Of Seven Bells, Kyte and Sarabeth Tucek, rarities from the likes of Maps, M83 and Mark Gardener (Ride) and remixes from Ulrich Schnauss, Robin Guthrie (Cocteau Twins) and Sonic Boom (Spacemen 3), among many others.
