Tiny Masters Of Today – Skeletons

tmt1 150x150 Tiny Masters Of Today Skeletons This album would be totally boring if it weren’t for the blatant obnoxiousness of it. That’s the most positive thing that can be said. It has absolutely nothing to offer but cliché chord changes and melodies that, for most songs, just repeat for 3 eternal minutes. Each song is like a strange little kid flicking your forehead over and over again. It’s annoying and eventually it’s painful. Zero effort was put into song-writing and instead was used to saturate the songs with tons of vocal effects and busy, mediocre pop production. To me, there is nothing clever, fresh, or remotely appealing about a single song.

That being said, they are just kids. A 15 year old brother, and 13 year old sister. And it sounds like it was made by kids. It’s only somewhat impressive when considering their age. The album itself doesn’t stand on its own, though. It sounds cut and pasted and lacks any depth whatsoever. I know, how much depth can an album made by kids have? Hopefully they evolve fast and leave this way behind.
